The Library at Montgomery Community College has over 12,000 books and subscriptions to current periodicals with back issues held for one year, 141 online databases, and over 287,000 eBooks. Professional staff are on duty to assist you with your needs. The library has 16 student computers with high-speed internet access and general-use software.
Computer Labs
MCC has 16 computer stations located in the Library for students to use at all times. In addition, Learning Center has 28 computer stations in the Learning Center for testing. In addition, two on-campus classrooms with 48 computer workstations are available for students. These computers are open for student use when classes are not scheduled in the computer labs.
Two Study Rooms
The Learning Center has two study rooms (located at the back of the Library) available for student use for collaboration, group study, or S.G.A. club meetings. Each room has a table and chairs, along with a Wi-Fi connection. Rooms may be checked out to currently enrolled students. The study rooms are on a first-come-first basis.
Success Studio
The Learning Center has a Success Studio that students, staff, and faculty can use to conduct mock interviews or self-recording when working on public speaking assignments. In addition, the S.S. room also has a computer loaded with communication applications such as WhatsApp, LINE, Zoom, WebEx, Microsoft Team, and Skype for online job interviews. The S.S. room ensures that all students, staff, and faculty are supported in their career development.
I.D.E.A. Room
The Learning Center has an IDEA room for student, staff, and faculty collaboration projects. IDEA stands for inclusion, diversity, equity, and access. The IDEA room has writable tables and a smartboard for students, staff, and faculty to use as an actively engaging learning experience. The room can be reserved by calling (910) 898-9650.
